Need Technical Assistance?

HRSA Pharmacy Services Support Center manages a government supported pharmacy technical assistance program for covered entities participating in the 340B Drug Pricing Program. PharmTA consultants, based on background and experience, are assigned to work with entities based on need for expertise in areas including:

  • The 340B and Prime Vendor Programs
  • Design and implementation of in-house pharmacies that utilize the 340B and Prime Vendor programs
  • Implementation of contracted pharmacy services agreements
  • Management of in-house and contracted pharmacy services that use 340B and Prime Vendor programs
  • Federal and State regulations and guidelines
  • Clinical pharmacy services
  • Patient Assistance Programs
  • Coordination of Clinical Pharmacy Demonstration Projects and Pharmacy Startup Projects
  • Auditing 340B-eligible entities to insure that drug diversion is not occurring

Other areas of consultant expertise include the following: creation of in-house pharmacy services, formulary development, financial analysis, marketing, program outcomes and evaluation, community access programs, pharmacy computer software, and other topics. Services could include phone consultations, provision of materials or sample forms and documents, as well as limited site visits, depending on need.
